Troy Historical Society - Miami County

Dedicated to the preservation of the history of Troy and the surrounding area. Housed in, and provides voluntary staffing for, the Troy-Miami County Library Local History Room. Maintains an extensive Web site containing county genealogical and historical information and sources for further research. Ongoing projects include a survey of barns in the county; collection of histories of properties in the area; and collection of oral histories and memories of residents and veterans of Miami County.

Darke County Genealogical Society - Darke County

Dedicated to promoting genealogical research in Darke county. The Society helps maintain a collection of genealogical and historical materials in the library at the Garst Museum (see Museums). Books and other materials are donated by interested parties and others are purchased by the Genealogical Society. The library houses an extensive surname file of non-book materials, hand-written notes, old photos, obituaries from local papers, names of other researchers, court records, etc. All of the early Court House records have been microfilmed and are available in the Genealogy Room.

Logan County Historical Society - Logan County

The Society was formed in 1945 preserve items related to personages instrumental in early settlement of the Northwest Territory prior to the Treaty of Greenville, including Simon Kenton, Chief Blue Jacket, and British Indian Agent Alexander McKee; and industrial development during the canal and railroad era.
